What VendorWheel Verification Means
VendorWheel verification badges help customers understand which business information or credentials have been reviewed by VendorWheel. Each badge represents a specific type of information that has been reviewed and verified based on documentation or other information provided to VendorWheel.
Verification is separate from VendorWheel membership. A business does not need a paid membership to request verification, and purchasing a Premium or Pro membership does not provide or guarantee verification.
Verification is intended to provide additional information and transparency. It is not an endorsement, guarantee, or representation of a business’s overall quality, safety, or ongoing compliance with applicable laws or regulations.
Understanding Verification Badges
Business Verified
VendorWheel has reviewed information supporting the identity or registration of the business associated with the listing. This verification confirms that supporting business information was reviewed; it does not represent an endorsement of the business or its services.
Health Inspection Verified
VendorWheel has reviewed health inspection, permit, or similar documentation applicable to the listed food business. Requirements and inspection processes vary by jurisdiction, so this badge reflects the documentation reviewed by VendorWheel and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of current or future regulatory compliance.
Food Handler Verified
VendorWheel has reviewed a food handler credential associated with the business or an individual connected with the listing. This badge does not indicate that every employee or food handler associated with the business has been verified.
Food Manager Verified
VendorWheel has reviewed a food manager credential associated with the business or an individual connected with the listing. This badge reflects the credential reviewed by VendorWheel and does not indicate that every manager or employee associated with the business has been verified.
Request Verification for Your Business
Business owners and authorized representatives may request verification for eligible VendorWheel listings. Verification is optional and is available regardless of VendorWheel membership level.
To request verification, you may be asked to provide documentation or other information supporting the credential you would like VendorWheel to verify. VendorWheel will review the submitted information before a verification badge is displayed.
Keeping Verification Current
Some licenses, permits, inspections, and certifications expire or require renewal. VendorWheel may remove or update a verification badge when supporting information expires, changes, cannot be reconfirmed, or no longer meets VendorWheel’s verification requirements.
Verification Is Credential-Specific
Each verification badge represents only the credential or information identified by that badge. For example, a Business Verified badge does not mean that the business also has a verified health inspection or food manager credential. Look for the individual verification badges displayed on each listing to see what VendorWheel has reviewed.
For Customers
Verification badges provide additional information that can help you evaluate a VendorWheel listing. Hover over verification icons on listing cards or view the listing details to see which credentials VendorWheel has reviewed.
Verification is one source of information when choosing a business. Customers should also consider ratings and reviews, listing information, their own requirements, and any licenses, permits, insurance, or other documentation that may be important for a particular service, event, or transaction.
